a Reading aloud is and remains family time number one!

66.3% of mothers read together with their child several times a week - almost one in two even daily.

Reading aloud not only creates shared moments of closeness and security, but also strengthens language development and the bond between parents and child. Fathers also read with their children, but are most often out and about together: 70.5% go on an outing with their child at least once or twice a week. This creates shared experiences and opportunities for interaction and togetherness.
